The director’s mysterious box
That evening, someone knocked on their hotel room door. The manager was standing in the corridor, looking serious, holding a heavy wooden crate in his hands. He explained that Grandfather had prepared everything before leaving, secretly, with a specific instruction: to deliver the crate only after Sophie had gazed at the sea.

Inside, dozens of letters. From nurses, teachers, neighbors, hospital staff… Each had written a memory of Sophie, her kindness, her courage, her infectious joy of life. And at the very bottom, an envelope addressed to the single mother.
