Kelly initially thought it was a bad joke, but upon opening the document, she quickly realized that Eric had billed for absolutely every single one of his little romantic gestures. The invoice was clear: payment was expected as soon as possible, or else a debt collection agency would be called in.

8/10 A simple transaction?
Kelly was truly shocked and still couldn’t quite believe it. She had spent a pleasant evening that was now turning into a nightmare. Eric, on the other hand, had seen the evening as nothing more than a transaction, an exchange of services.

Kelly immediately sent the bill to her friend Mia, who was just as astonished as Kelly. Mia then contacted Chris, her boyfriend, who knew Eric very well. Chris didn’t think Eric was capable of such a thing. “This is unheard of!” he said. To help Kelly, Chris decided to create another bill, just as detailed, listing all the absurd charges that Kelly had had to pay.

Chris even demanded a public apology from Eric for daring to do that to Kelly. Kelly hadn’t thought the situation would escalate to this point. Eric initially tried to justify himself to Kelly, remaining calm at first, then becoming increasingly annoyed. But Kelly no longer wanted to respond and chose to ignore him. She simply sent a thumbs-up emoji and then blocked his number. She’ll now know better than to judge a book by its cover.
