What if the most important warning sign didn’t come from you, but from those around you? Alzheimer’s disease sometimes manifests much earlier than we imagine, with subtle clues that we tend to downplay. A renowned neuropsychologist is sounding the alarm about this first sign, often dismissed out of hand… wrongly so. Here’s what you really need to listen for.
Why do we so easily miss it?

With age, minor memory lapses almost become a running joke. We reassure ourselves, put things in perspective, and say, “It’s normal.” And often, it’s true. But sometimes, it isn’t. This mechanism, well known to healthcare professionals, unfortunately too often delays helpful intervention.
